My WoW pick of the week :)
Available January 3rd 2012 !
Amanda Hocking is an indie publishing sensation whose self-published novels have sold millions of copies all over the world. Switched is the book that started the phenomenon. Prepare to be enchanted….
When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit. But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth: Wendy is a changeling who was switched at birth—and he’s come to take her home.
Now Wendy’s about to journey to a magical world she never knew existed, one that’s both beautiful and frightening. And where she must leave her old life behind to discover who she’s meant to become…
Does anyone else see the pumpkin face in the Swirls!? lol
I have read one other book about Changelings ; The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff. And it was wonderfully creepy, but also had a male lead character. I am looking forward to seeing a female view on this creepy idea :)

I've seen that cover somewhere before, but I can't remember where. Haven't read the description until now, though, and it sounds fantastic!
ReplyDeletePumpkin face!~ I had to look for it but I found it :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the book... Hm. I always sort of thought that the dangerous part about changelings was that they *knowingly* impersonated human children in order to carry out their wickedness or mischief or whatever. Interesting spin that she would be as in the dark as anyone else about it, if not more so. Maybe when I get my ~happy funtime Nook tablet~ I will get to read this one! Since I doubt it's coming to my library anytime soon...
I can't decide what I think about this one, like if I want to read it or not - I do love the cover though.
