  1. Ooooh, I don't know. Maybe a day or two. That'd be really difficult...

  2. Hmmm...I don't know, I guess for however long I would have to go, but I'd be hoping for contact the whole time. Thanks for the giveaway!

  3. So, it looks like others are answering a question, perhaps "how long could you go without human contact?" I don't see a question, and Rafflecopter is telling me to leave a comment. But I shall answer the question anyways! Ahem: I would like to think I'd be able to make it for quite a long time, but it would depend on whether I was allowed to be *around* other people at the time or if I was cloistered away somewhere. I would probably touch people on accident at first because I'm clumsy, but I would get very careful if it hurt people like in the book. After about a week of no contact I imagine I would become depressed, but I would probably get over it. Hopefully I answered the right question! :-)

  4. A day maybe? at the most.

  7. Probably a day or two. Thanks for the giveaway.

  8. I couldn't go very long at all without human contact. I'm a very huggy person! :)

  9. One day, most probably.

  10. For me it depends, if I have lots of books I could go for a couple of days, but if it's just me with no books about and hour lol. I don't do well in isolation!

  11. haha seems like most of you couldn't go too long ! - unless you had books ! ... I feel like I could go awhile. I used to be a pretty big loner.. heck I still kinda am! Good luck everyone !

    ReplyDelete
  12. I dont think that I would last a day. Theres not a day that goes by that I dont love my kids hugging me. It would be so lonely.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ehhhh... I think I could probably last 3 weeks or so, so long as I had food and good books :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Probably a week or two, provided that I have food and books. If not, I'm sure I'd be terribly bored.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Same as everyone above! About the books and food (Psst...we are answering the 'Human Contact' question right?)

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Maegan Morin - Seriously ! I don't have kids, but I can imagine how hard it would be!

@JesseEmmaZach, Layen and Isobel Mcvilly- you guys are getting braver! weeks with no human contact? YIKES :) lol and yes Isobel, that's the right question, thanks for everyone's imput!

  17. It's hard to say,I don't know maybe three days indoors ,outdoors depend from environment.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If face to face contact it could be several days and I'd be fine. If it is through media somehow it has to be every day contact.

  19. Awesome giveaway! I love and own Shatter Me, so I won't enter (don't want to be greedy), but I tweeted for you! New follower ;)

  20. It honestly depends wether or not I have lots of books. If I have lots of books (or computer), four days maybe. Without books (or computers), one or two days haha.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Silvy I hadnt thought about that! alone outdoors would be very different from alone inside.

@Brenda - I know what you mean ! I need my twitter and facebook as sad as that may be lol, and of course my blog and all you lovely book lovers

@Cheles Bells - happy to have ya!

@rouge- I agree.. I really depend on my books and computer lol. I'd say I should work on it, but I wont

@Ashley- WOW .. thats some confidence you have haha

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'll agree with Rogue! I could survive as long as it takes if I have enough books. :) But without them dunno, maybe it would be odd at the begging but later I would find something to do.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'd guess a couple of weeks. I'm not a big hugger, but I need some chat time.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I am a total people person/social butterfly! My husband says until I die (literal think, I suppose!) but I think emotionally I could only go a week at the most. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't think I could go without it a day or two. I love people around me :) Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've gone three days before and that was absolutely lovely. I got to putter around, create things, read and write, eat delicious food with nobody stealing it off my plate, and live out my dreams of hermithood before I realizing that I missed everybody. Three days is the limit, I think.

Of course, I have three little ones constantly underfoot, and can't even go to the bathroom without teeny fingers poking under the door, so I might crave solitude more than the average bear. ;)

  28. Depends I guess. I have days where the last thing I want is human contact.... and other days where its difficult to go without. I guess in total, I could maybe go a week... would hate to have to find out though.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Not very long, always looking for cuddles off my son!! Although it would be easier if i was alone and people weren't around.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm not sure prob. a good while if I HAD to. It would not be cool at all but I think it would be doable.

  31. Oh, Gosh! Good question! I think... Maybe one day or two? Yes, I guess. Or not. It's something to think about, but I believe not too long.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't really know if I can answer that as it might depend on how I was feeling at a specific time, depressed, ellated etc.

I would say probably not more than a few weeks.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  35. Awesome giveaway, thank you! The longest time I've gone without human touch is two days when I was just moved in to my apartment. I don't think I can stand longer than that!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't know... I guess it depends on my mood and the things I could do to keep myself busy!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not long. I like space, but if I didn't have human contact for a while I would go crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Maybe a day, My husband used to work 12 hour days 5-6 days a week for the longest time. I felt like I was going crazy in the house by myself so, I got me a cat. Still felt like I was crazy though. Things changed when he got him a new job. SO glad he did!

  44. I think I could go maybe a week without human contact! Not that I would like to try it!

  45. 24 hours at most unless there is no people around me at all (meaning I'm locked in my house on my own, which never happened for longer than a day anyway)...So, beyond 1 day, I don't really know

    ReplyDelete
  46. Im not sure I could go anytime without contact. I have 4 boys and everyday they cuddle and kiss me, it would be hard to be without that.

  48. Not more than a day I guess.....Going without human contact would be wierd.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Not more than a day,it's kind of impossible not to bump into people..

    ReplyDelete
  50. Not very long! Even though I'm not a touchy feely person that would be so hard!

    ReplyDelete
  51. It depends how many fantastics book I'm surrounded by. When I read I'm in my own world (:

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm an introvert & I don't mind being alone. But I'm pretty close with my family so it would be hard to be away from them for too long.

    ReplyDelete
  53. If by human contact you mean go without touching anyone, then I think I could do without it for a long time. I don't really like anyone invading my personal space, let alone touching me, apart from closest family or friends.

But it would be quite difficult if I couldn't see or talk to anyone, especially my family.

    ReplyDelete
  54. well with books a my mp3 player, water and food - mhm, week or so... but not longer.

    thnx for this awesome giveaway

  55. I think I could do a few days...I went travelling and there were some days when I wouldn't see anyone!

In response to your question about going without human contact, my answer is that i could not at all; i care too much about other people and being around and with other people is very important to me, even if it is for just a hug!! xxx

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think I could go maybe two or three days. After that I would start to get lonely.

    ReplyDelete
  59. uhhhhmm I thinj I could go maybe for 3 or 4 days..
    Love the giveaway :)

  67. As long as I have computer & phone, I can go days without any real contact, but without it... not even a few hours, I guess. :O

    ReplyDelete
  68. Probably about three days it wouldn't really sink in that no one else was around until then!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Well, I guess one day is not a problem. Three days maybe the max.

    Thanks for the giveaway. :D

    ReplyDelete
  70. Not very long! I'm climbing the walls during the 6 hours the kids are at school!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I think maybe a week. I would enjoy the quiet at first, but then I would miss the human contact & interactions.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Three days top. And after that if I get one, I can't stop talking)))

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'd maybe enjoy the novelty of no human contact for about a week, then I'd start to wonder if it was as appealing as I thought it would be, after 2 weeks I would probably have built a scarecrow to talk to.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I would say a few days. I'd go nuts after that.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Maybe a month and then it would be too much to take

    ReplyDelete
  76. Not long, a week max - I'm a people person

    ReplyDelete
  77. I can probably go with a week but after that I don't know what to do aww

    ReplyDelete
  78. I can manage a couple of days when the bf's out of town and I'm alone with my books, but after that I get pretty lonely. I think I could probably manage a week, two at a push.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I don't think I could last long...I love hugging my friends.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Hard question! I don't think I know to be honest. Maybe a week? A long and painful week... :D

    ReplyDelete
  81. i generally think i could last a while because i do enjoy having time to myself however at the same time i love family and would need contact with thwm

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  84. not more than a day but if I have my darling hubby with me I don't need anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I've always been pretty self-sufficient, so I think I could go for a couple of months. It wouldn't be pleasant, though.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Well I don't think I could go a day without seeing my husband, but otherwise I'm quite good at being on my own

    ReplyDelete
  87. about a day!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Physical contact or just communication? I would get bored without either.

    ReplyDelete
  89. How long could you go without human contact? I would say maybe six months...It would be so so so hard.

    ReplyDelete
  90. With books and my laptop I could probably last a month and the reason being is I'm an only child so i'm used to being by myself already as it is.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Well... As long as I'd have books I could last a while.

    ReplyDelete
  92. A day or two... as much as people irritate me sometimes, I can't last long.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Thank you for the giveaway! :)
    Awesome blog ^^
Hmm, I could go as long as it takes without human contact and especially if I have my books, my music and PC <3

    ReplyDelete
  94. Thank you for this awesome giveaway :) And to answer your question: I can live very long without personal contact, even for weeks probably, but without the Internet and a phone... probably only 24 hours ;)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Months easily, I am not a touchy feely person :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. Lol, no idea! If I have books to read or internet, probably a long time because I'll have them to keep me occupied, but without that, maybe a couple of days ;) Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  97. I think I could go about a week without human contact, any more than that and I'd be very lonely. I might not even manage that, could maybe be about 4 or 5 days. I'm not sure I'd like to find out though!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Not long. I mean, sometimes I like to be alone but I'd hate to go without everybody for an extended period of time. It would get boring and lonely!
