The idea behind Memorable Monday?
"The idea for this meme first came to me when I was writing down a quote. I know I'm not the only one out there saving beautiful, magic, romantic, dramatic, teasing, engaging, thought provoking quotes while reading books. So I thought why not share these wonderful quotes in a weekly meme. I spent a lot of time on Google trying to figure out if someone did the same kind of meme, but I couldn't find any so here it is :)"
This week I am straying away from the funny quotes that hook me in a book. This week I am featuring a favorite book of mine that I strongly recommend! ( I don't read many contemporaries , so this being a favorite of mine is a big deal ! )
North Of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley
"Physical beauty wasn't the same as True Beauty,
any more than pretty ugly meant truly ugly or Magnetic North meant True North."
Feel Free to leave a memorable quote in the comments
or leave me a link to your memorable Monday post!
What a great and true quote! I haven't heard anything about the book yet, but as you seem to strongly recommend it, I'm totally going to read what it is all about. The quote sounds very interesting already.
ReplyDeleteI do recommend it! One of the few contemporaries I enjoy, almost all the others are Sarah Dessen books lol
DeleteA lovely and very true quote. I've heard that this is a good read :)
ReplyDeleteThat's because it is!
DeleteI thought about reading this one, but it sounds so Young Adult-ish. (I mean.. there are YA novels where the protagonists are (reasonably) mature and therefore likeable. And then there is the rest.) BUT this quote really made me want to pick it up. :) Thank you for sharing!

Wow that comment was beautiful. Great choice! I need to read this one now :)! Thanks for checking ours out and commenting. <3Sarah
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this book also, it's not really what I usually read but the title really caught my eye in the first place and then once I ready the synopsis I thought I would give it a go. I'm glad that I did, it was well worth it.
ReplyDeleteThis book is one of my very favorites!
